#Bamboo ink stylus hp envy update#
Is there any possibility to update the controller board firmware to solve this issue? I'm using Bamboo Ink Stylus.
I doubt that it is an issue of one particular tablet. It looks like pattern is periodic and I can guess that the issue is with the shape of touch electrodes on the screen. The red points represent expected stylus position, black points are readings from the stylus. I meticulously draw multiple parallel lines, saved coordinates. I made a small program to read straight 45° lines from stylus. So, I guess it is not manufactured by Dell. Which communicates with tablet by i2c protocol. Dell Venue is definitely using wacom aes controller. So I stuck here with inaccurate digitizer. Features New Active StylusEVACH New Design Active stylus for HP Envy X360 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop (15.6') is made for smoothly writing and drawing for artist, journalist, teacher and students etc. I think this device is very useful and I couldn't find any way to upgrade it to anything modern of the same size. I actually read a lot about this jitter/wobble issue. No matter if everything is slowed down by something in the background or if it in the tablet at the best performance mode. Waviness doesn't depend on tablet performance. It shows that some points tend to come closer to horizontal lines placed at the same step. You can see end line "dancing" around the tip while moving. I even used a ruler (not in the demo) to produce more accurate motion but result is the same. I replaced battery on the stylus and made sure no magnetic device When I start to write text on Venue Pro, some lines becomes compressed, letters are all wiggly. I used the same Bamboo Ink with HP Envy 8 Note, it gives some waviness but it is hardly noticeable. I have access to two other wacom windows tables (Asus VivoTab Note 8 and HP Envy 8 Note), few other Samsung devices (Note 4 and Galaxy Tab S3) and a line of Microsoft Surface products and none of them have this kind of problem.
I tried the last wacom driver, the same result. But this time something wrong happens with the device/stylus. I'm using the tablet mostly for note taking and I am huge fan of wacom-enabled devices. I recently started to use a Dell 5855 tablet which comes with a wacom digitizer.
